ETEC 692- Practicum in E-Learning
The purpose of this course was to research and find Educational Technology tools and share them with the class. Each week you were responsible for finding and developing two, five-minute videos demonstrating how to use the tool. The final project of the course was to collaborate in a group of three to find a tool that could be presented in a workshop format. We learned effective workshop strategies and were encouraged to use them to deliver our technology tool.
The projects included:
Students in this course will (a) seek out and identify a variety of technology tools, (b) develop instruction in order to teach each other about using the tools and (c) evaluate the tools on the basis of their usefulness in educational settings. Of particular interest will be free online tools. 3 credits

Workshop Presentation Project- LiveBinders
As a group, we chose to deliver our workshop on LiveBinders. This is a free online tool that allows you to manage and collect your resources and organize your files neatly and easily. We used an engaging format for our presentation that took the learners on a "drive" through the process of learning how to use the tool effectively.

AECT Standard
The Workshop presentation project connects to AECT Standard 4: Management. As a group it was vital to not only demonstrate knowledge of the information we were presenting, but managing the delivery of instruction. The sub-standard 4.3 focuses on the "Delivery System Management," which involves planning, monitoring and controlling the distribution of instructional materials and the way they are organized. As workshop "hosts," we were responsible for presenting information to the learner so they too could use it effectively and understand the usability of the tool (e.g.; hardware, software or other system requirements).
